"User-Driven" is a body of work that examines the public presentation of news, historical events, and pop culture, specifically through online projects such as Google Trends and Wikipedia, which consist almost entirely of user-provided content. The pieces included in this series make use of easily available information, provided by the public, by inserting it into precisely planned processes and formulas. As the artist, I merely took what was given to me and presented it in simple visual formats, allowing the audience to consider why we are exposed to certain information, how we directly shape that exposure by our day to day interactions on the internet, and how this awareness can make us a more critical and well-informed society.
